Main Responsibilities
- Be part of a team of engineers with responsibility for the delivery of complex mixed-signal products
- Design and develop new circuit architectures and techniques on advanced process nodes with an awareness of competing solutions and commercial pressures
- Participate in all aspects of the design, from concept to production silicon
- Involved in specification, architectural development, transistor-level design, SPICE, Matlab and Verilog (System Verilog, Verilog A, Verilog-AMS) modelling and simulation, layout supervision, post-layout simulation, chip-level verification, and lab validation
- Organised, detailed, and strong communication skills
- Self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Influence the growth of the group through recruitment, mentoring, review and supervision of junior engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Highly proficient with industry design tools and simulation environments
- Highly familiar with the challenges of mixed-signal system design, including the fundamentals of analog/mixed-signal modelling, chip-level and sub-system integration and verification, physical implementation, and process limitations
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a detailed understanding of signal processing, control theory and circuit and system analysis techniques
- Highly qualified at silicon validation and bench debug with an appreciation of PCB design and board level issues
- Able to interact directly with multi-functional teams including marketing and product definition, production test, product engineering, and end customer interface
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- An understanding, appreciation and passion for audio engineering
- Design of low power clock generation circuits, oscillators, PLLs, FLLs etc.
- Audio ADC and DAC design
- DSP or algorithm development
- Design of power management systems
- Digital system level design
- Ability to incorporate and lead new design techniques, methods independent of existing practices
