Overview
We are looking for a Senior Administrator to join our friendly team.
If you have significant experience of working within planning policy (including on local plans), can demonstrate the ability to work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and are able to support other staff, this could be the role for you.
The Senior Administrator will manage and monitor the Streetworks processes enabling the effective implementation of the Buckinghamshire Permit scheme.
The Senior Administrator will manage and monitor all Permits in accordance with code of practice for co-ordination of Streetworks and carry out compliance of utility performance.
The post holder will also assist with the recovery of monies via the Councils SAP system.
About us
We are the Buckinghamshire Council Streetworks Team with over thirty people who manage all works carried out on the highway this includes our own maintenance works, Utility and private works. This role will monitor the performance and compliance of these works in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

About the role
This is an interesting and varied role for the right candidate to gain knowledge of compliance and legislation within the Steetworks Team. You will gain experience in dealing with Utilities and liaising with internal teams to ensure statutory undertakers perform as per legislation.
The post holder will ensure the efficient financial administration of the team.

Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
- Excellent organisation and administration skills
- Good communicator both verbal and written
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Able accurately maintain records and provide information when required.
- Experience of raising and processing invoices ideally using SAP.

Staff work remotely for at least 60% of the working week. We currently work 3 days at home and 2 days in the office (days to be agreed)

About the Business Unit
