We are looking for a Senior Administration Assistant/Finance Assistant to join our supportive and talented team at Frome Vale Academy. Frome Vale Academy is an outstanding school who are part of a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
This role is made up of 2 separate job roles as follows:
- 22 hours per week – Senior Administration Assistant
- 15 hours per week – finance assistant
The academy can be flexible for the successful candidate to work between 30 and 37 hours per week.
The role is being offered on a permanent basis, term time only + 5 inset days.
What we are looking for:
Senior Administrator
Under the guidance of senior staff, the Senior Administration Assistant will provide high quality administrative, clerical and organisational support to the academy. They will be expected to have administrative responsibility and may be expected to take the lead role in the administrative support for specific areas such as admissions, first aid, inclusion or the primary phase (amongst others). Within the scope of the role, they will work proactively to find solutions where required. At all times, the post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role and contribute positively to the effective running of the administration function within the academy.
Finance Assistant
You should be proficient with IT systems and have a secure understanding of finances and admin systems. Our teachers will need a proactive, supportive and a calm finance assistant. Our children need you to ensure school’s (children’s) money is spent appropriately, and this job is conducted in support of their educational needs.
To be successful in the post, we are looking for someone who will ensure all procedures are carried out accurately and in accordance with CLF and academy policies and requirements, Department for Education (DfE) guidance and appropriate legislation. Will act as first point of contact for general finance and/or HR queries from academy staff, students, parents/carers and the CLF central team.

Salary: £24,183.00-£26,931.00 per year
