Packaged Sounds Group provides Vinyl/CD/Cassette production, print, packaging and worldwide logistics to some of the best artists and labels in the music industry. As well as having our own Vinyl pressing facilities in the UK and Poland, our services are supported by an expert team of audio, vinyl pressing, design, print, packaging and logistics experts at each site.
The main duties of this role will involve the production of worldwide releases including Vinyl/CD/Cassette, print and packaging production as well as UK/EU and US logistics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work with clients, internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of projects
- Development of project specifications and the issue quotations to client
- To provide technical support (working closely with internal teams) in prototyping and development of material specifications for projects
- Receive audio / art asserts and load new orders into order management systems
- Work with graphic design and audio departments to proof artwork and audio to client for approval
- Liaise with internal and external partners to manage orders through the system
- To have full responsibility for all project commercials and profitability
- Communicate with clients on a day-to-day basis regarding project progress
- To always seek to create new sales opportunities with both new and existing clients
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
- Suitable candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience working with key accounts in a demanding production role managing all aspects of releases including Vinyl/CD/Cassette, print and packaging production as well as UK/EU and US logistics
- A high-level understanding of the Vinyl and CD pressing process and extensive experience across all aspects of print process
- Must have experience of complex special packaging and boxset production
- The ability to manage all aspects of a project working with both internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Able to manage a large number of projects simultaneously
- Great planning and scheduling skills with a precise attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- High level of literacy and numeracy in Excel and other Office applications
- Familiarity with software planning tools and MRP/ERP systems
- A good understanding of international trade and customs processes
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
- A deep understanding of logistics processes including multi-country delivery splits
- To be comfortable with cross border customs and VAT requirements
- Appreciation of Music Production or Sound Engineering
- Great connections in the music industry
- Passion for live music and/or record collecting
The base salary range for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 with additions being heavily dependent on proven experience.
The role will be a hybrid role requiring a minimum 2-3 days per week at the High Wycombe facility and/or London office. We will consider all applications and may modify this depending on circumstances and location.
