This is a 12-month placement and should be part of an industrial placement within your studies.
The objective of the internship will be to:

- Develop a mobile app with a series of simple calculators to aid punch press operators (e.g. punching force, cutting clearance, pre-punching diameter).
- Using data from existing flat files, develop visual digital load boards for manufacturing cells on the shop floor.
- Develop an app where an operator can scan an existing barcode on a production order and bring up an image of a tool that helps with a visual inspection (i.e. has the operator picked the correct product).
In addition to the above, you would be involved in additional production engineering projects throughout the placement such as software support in automation projects and laser marking projects.
Our Production Engineers will have the expertise on our requirements such as the formulas required within the app calculators. We are looking for someone to bring the software development skills.
