We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to join our team. Duties of role will include being able:
- To know your student - by reading and understanding referral and application information from schools, local authorities, social workers and any other professional bodies (including Education & Health Care Plans, behaviour logs, educational psychologists and other relevant reports) and be in constant communication with these professionals
- To plan and deliver engaging and enriching 1:1 mentoring/support sessions, including sourcing relevant resources and activities and record these on Teams
- To discuss, plan and deliver an individual and bespoke personal development learning programme using the Level 1 Personal Development Curriculum and resources and record this on Teams
- To provide classroom, remote and online learning support for your students in English & maths and other subject areas in liaison with teachers, your line manager and other relevant staff.
- To keep teaching staff updated of any issues with education element and keep them informed of progress.
- To plan and deliver a wide range of enrichment activities which promote learning, good behaviour, and to improve and develop social skills and well-being.
- To work with management to ensure smooth transition and induction for new students, including 2 week review of placement.
- To record student attendance within 15 minutes of the set pick up time.
- To always keep students safe
- To be alert and aware of student whereabouts, especially unstructured times of the day (breaks, lunch, recreation and trips to toilets etc.)
- To report any safeguarding immediately using the systems available.
- To maintain daily, weekly and termly accurate records on students which record the planned activities, whereabouts and measure the impact of your intervention – Daily Logs/Weekly Planners/Student Progress Reports
- To have a full driving license and car is essential as travel to different areas to pick up the student before the start of their session
