We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Worker at our outdoor Learning Site within our farm based Alternative Provision.
Are you passionate about reaching pupils unable to access mainstream education due to anxiety, SEND, challenging behavior or other mental health difficulties?
We are looking for enthusiastic people to work with our students on a 1:1 basis or small groups at our outdoor education AP site, aged 6 - 16.
We are looking for individuals that can add to our mission to engage those who are disengaged, isolated, hard to reach, disadvantaged and who have Special Educational Needs in learning interventions that will develop confidence, self-esteem, resilience and skills and experiences needed to embrace life-long learning, making sure every person feels individually valued. Students are helped to develop into confident and successful individuals, who are responsible.
The successful candidate requires the following:
* Experience of working with young people aged 6 - 16 with SEND, challenging behaviour and/or ASD.
* Reliable and commited as we work on allocated ratio's with the children, so reliability is key.
* Behaviour management skills
* Engaging with students 1:1 and small group tutoring/mentoring/support
* Be motivated and creative with ideas and activities to engage our young people.
* 2 years tutoring/mentoring/experience in the UK (desirable)
* Possibility of Flexible working hours and contracts.
* Most importantly someone that is not afraid to "muck in" and get their hands dirty, and willing to give anything a go.

Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £9.50-£12.00 per hour
