SEN Casework Officer – Ref: CH00523
Salary: G7 £29,439 - £33,820 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Are you interesting in working to support children and young people with additional needs?
We are looking for efficient and hardworking Casework Officers with experience in the area of special educational needs.
Working within the legislative framework, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the assessment, production and review of Education Health and Care (EHC) plans and other aspects of special educational needs of individual pupils.
You will have a caseload related to a defined geographical area, and will work closely with parents, carers and professionals from a range of voluntary and statutory agencies.
You will need a background in education and/or special needs and be able to evidence excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to relate well to parents, carers and professionals. You will also need to demonstrate strong communication, prioritisation and negotiation skills. You will be working to challenging deadlines and will need to have a flexible approach.
There is an emphasis on team working and striving for continuous improvement to our service, within a customer care environment.
