Security Team Leader – London Thamesport
The Role
Hutchisons Port (UK), London Thamesport is looking to recruit for a Security Team Leader to help maintain the security integrity of the Port facility.
Reporting directly to the Port Manager, the Security Team Leader assess potential security issues, liaise with Department for Transport Maritime Operations Division and external contractor management to ensure that contract security staff are safely dealing with any security breaches.
Key Requirements
- Ensure the continuation of appropriate security measures by regularly conducting security inspections of the Port facility.
- Conduct comprehensive security surveys of the Port.
- Liaise with Police, Border Force and the National Crime Agency regarding port security as required.
- Assist the Ship Security Officers in confirming the identity individuals boarding the ships.
- Manage Security staff’s performance and deal with any conduct issues.
- Implement the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) and identify any way to improve the PFSP.
- Work with the Port of Felixstowe and IT to monitor and maintain the CCTV system.
- Ensure safety and security across the port by administering and auditing the building access card system, port vehicle permit system and using Port speed check devices.
Who are we looking for?
Suitable applicants should meet the following criteria:
Essential:
· Full UK Drivers License
· CTC (Counter Terrorist Clearance) security clearance to be completed upon appointment.
· PFSO (Port facilities Security Officer) certification to be completed upon appointment.
· IOSH Managing Safety certification or be willing to work towards
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure dealing with frequent interruptions and personal emotional matters.
