ROLE SUMMARY: To minimise theft within premises by utilising security resources as applicable. Carry out training, coaching, and mentoring as required to ensure staff operate to optimum levels, (e.g., Induction training). To lead, manage and motivate a group of staff, to ensure our clients’ objectives are met. To ensure adherence to all legislative requirements including licensing, health and safety and employment law. To ensure compliance with company documentation, policies, and procedures To conduct initial investigations in accordance to incidents. To report incidents according to company policy. Ensuring the day operations are followed smoothly and business needs are not disrupted. Providing a professional manner towards client and staff. Ensuring the deterrence of theft and anti-social behaviour RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide guidance in the day-to-day supervision of security staff within the premises, ensuring standards of dress, conduct and professionalism are exemplary. To conduct regular team meetings to ensure all staff are briefed on day-to-day operations, site objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensure that all company documentation is completed as soon as possible following an incident or event. Ensure that all suspects are arrested in accordance with the law. Ensure offenders are detained in accordance with company procedures. Responsible for staff compliance to site Assignment Instructions by obtaining signed acknowledgement from all staff. Maintain sound knowledge of legislation. Ensure that all written reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, theft and suspicious activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure that all site paperwork is accurate and up to date, which may include the record of lost property. Act as a liaison point for all emergency services, as directed by the management. Regular meetings with the management team to discuss team performance, shrinkage issues and general KPI performance. Provide the management with the weekly activity report. Build partnership relations with Police and other agencies. Report major issues; wrongful arrests, physical assaults, fire, flood, bomb evacuations to Area Manager immediately. Ensure all records are maintained daily of arrests and deters for Key Performance Indicator analysis and potential legal requirements, utilising pocket notebooks, incident reports and other appropriate documentation. Submit monthly Key Performance Indicator figures when requested, to the Area Manager. Supporting the management with compiling the rosters. Carry out thorough induction training of all staff new to the site, ensuring that the relevant documentation is signed off and sent to the HR department. Identify and report to the Area Manager any shortfalls in performance or conduct with team members, recommending any training or remedial action as appropriate. To ensure all staff are treated fairly and equally, in accordance with the company equal opportunity policy. When applicable, to carry out recruitment of staff in accordance with company policies.
