Security Supervisor

Job Role:
To provide the highest level of service relating to the provision of security services within the Luton FBO. Working as part of the Security department delivering day-to-day management of the team and all associated services, ensuring all services are provided to our customers in a safe and professional manner.
What you'll be doing:
Day to day management responsibility for their security team; coaching and overseeing new starters within the Security department. This involves conducting regular performance assessments on team members and assisting with the application of airport passes. Monitoring and maintaining access control and car parking on-site in line with policy and checking identification / travel documents of all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access.
You will be responsible for ensuring all passengers, belongings, items, and vehicles are screened to the required standards through methodical and standardised methods. Ensuring all passengers/items have been subject to the necessary screening (WTMD, security scanner, X-ray, ETD, Liquid testing etc.) in line with the NASP
Ensure all staff and visitor IDs are valid with the appropriate colour code and access zones. Act as the first point of contact in resolving or escalating any access alarms, breaches, or system failures and be the first point of contact for any passenger, staff, or visitor queries. Where required, you will control front of house and customer journey including luggage, maintaining standards of the FBO.

About You:
You will have strong communication and listening skills with a good understanding of the principles of equality and diversity our customers have grown to expect from their time at Signature Flight Support. You will be a strong team player with the ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure and in an ever-changing environment. Previous experience of managing people or leading a team is highly desirable, with demonstrable leadership ability. Previous experience of working within a Security team is highly desirable.
Due to the secure nature of the role you will be required to provide us with a 5-year full employment or education history as well as the ability to hold a DBS and CTC clearance certificate (or have no disqualifying criminal convictions and have a minimum of 3 years UK residency and are able to obtain one). The role will require candidates to hold a full driving license and pass a colour perception test for use of X-ray equipment and to check passes with colour codes.
