Essential criteria
Valid frontline SIA Licence (Door Supervisor)
Experience in a supervisory/management position and/or personnel leadership appointment
5-year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards – BS7858
Willing to work towards relevant role related qualifications/CPD
Desirable criteria
Previous healthcare sector experience
Health & safety related qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH)
Valid SIA CCTV licence
Police or Military background

Reports to – Security management
The Security Supervisor role is to ensure the highest standards of safety and service delivery to our client - the National Health Service.
You will have responsibility for a shift team, shift operations and associated standard operating procedures.
Your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
· Undertaking security threat and risk assessments to ensure the appropriate level of service is provided in line with the standard operating procedures & assignment instructions
· Effective shift leadership, conducting team briefs and monitoring/maintaining the highest standards of service delivery
· Investigating and resolving allegations, complaints and enquires within the contracted remit in line with the stipulated KPI measures
· Liaison with client, local police and/or multi agency organisations, working collaboratively to ensure safety and tackle any risks, growing concerns or current trends identified
· Undertake proactive initiatives/programmes of work to minimise risk of crime and improve security and safety culture collaboratively with our client
· Provide our client with updates on relevant security related matters and shift events via structured report templates
· To ensure that a pro-security culture is administered within the hospital (s) by demonstrating industry leading service delivery
· Responsible for monitoring and managing the performance of your allocated team members
· Reviewing working practices to ascertain fit for purpose and implement alternatives in partnership with the GSTS management team & client
· Responsible for making certain that all shift Health and Safety regulations are met, reported, monitored and reduction methods are planned and implemented accordingly
· Working with your team to facilitate a performing culture- motivated to achieve, develop and fulfil full potential
· The ability to plan, organise, and prioritise deadlines accordingly
· The ability to communicate to a high standard both verbally and written
· Must be proficient in all Microsoft platforms (Word, Outlook, Excel etc)
· Ensuring shift/duties is operated under the company’s Mission Statement and values
· Responsible for the reporting of Incidents within the hospitals and follow up procedures to ensure continuity in line with KPI stipulations
· Responsible for the maintenance of all contract equipment, inclusive of uniform/PPE and adherence of contract maintenance agreements and reporting of faults to GSTS management as applicable
· Responsible for shift coverage measures and support in maintaining 100% staffing compliance
Responsible for supporting GSTS environmental policy and ambitions
· Effective Team Leadership and communication displayed at all times
· Works collaboratively with the wider business team (s) with any issues/support requests that occur
· Manages own work/ life balance and personal development via PDP
· Any other reasonable Management Instruction requested
