About The Role

Salisbury Group is looking for a Security Supervisor to join our team in the Wolverhampton.
As the Security Supervisor, you will be required to provide effective supervision of site based security operations acting in the best interests of our Clients and customers at all times. You will ensure all contracted hours are fulfilled by accredited and competent security officers, emergency procedures are robust, and service levels, particularly front of house reception services meet the standards agreed with clients.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Maintaining safe and secure environments protecting people, property and assets. Undertake regular risk reviews of site to identify threat and vulnerability taking appropriate action to mitigate risk. Drive a positive security culture to ensure staff remain focused at all times particularly access control procedures and the checking of passes.
  • Ensure site based staff are competent to carry out their duties effectively, constantly monitor that standards are maintained and improved. Drive a positive safety culture ensuring all activities meet company and client Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ensure staff conduct their duties in accordance with the Site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Ensure that emergency procedures are effective robust, tried and tested. Provide regular refresher training and drills to maintain individual skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Supervise site staff to ensure a proportionate balance between service and risk.
  • Carry out daily audit of keys and key registers.
  • Lead the team meeting their expectations and demonstrating fairness, equality and consistency at all times. Ensure all contractual and personnel training and development needs are addressed, staff comply with site rules, and project a professional image at all times particularly the wearing of uniform and engagement with customers.
  • Ensure site based inductions and toolbox talks are completed for all new and transferred in staff. Staff are to receive toolbox talks on a regular basis to maintain knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain discipline and manage absence effectively.
  • Regularly review the development needs of all staff and identify individuals with potential for succession. Ensure annual staff appraisals are completed by December each year, ensuring appraisals are effective and meaningful with achievable objectives.
    Information
  • Record Key Performance Information (KPI) and address non-conformance as a matter of urgency. Protect all ‘protectively marked material’ or sensitive information in accordance with company and Client policies.
  • Use daily occurrence records, incident reports, patrol monitoring reports & other available information to measure performance and ensure the effective use of resources to deliver security and other related activities effectively.

About You

Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required
  • First Aid Certificate (Emergency First Aid at Work as a minimum)
  • Banksman Training
Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role
  • Experience of working within a security environment.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Practical experience of the application of site emergency preparedness and emergency response procedures.
  • Understanding of risk and the identification of threat and vulnerabilities which directly impact upon a client’s business together with implementation of risk mitigation measures.
    Able to work under pressure.
