Job description
We are looking for a Security Supervisor to work in a highly renowned London museum. If you want to get into this exciting industry, this could be a great opportunity for you.
The role
As Security Supervisor, your main responsibilities are to work closely in the field at the Museum in front-facing customer service roles, delivering excellent customer service to the public. You will also provide general administration support to the division team with planning and scheduling of temporary workers. Specific duties include:
- Supporting the Museum and Artisan People with the scheduling of temporary workers, through email, social media platforms, outlook and telephone
- Organising daily operations including position rotations and breaks
- Monitoring attendance and work performance of staff
- Communicating between the Museum and Artisan People feedback on staff – attending meetings and conducting induction days
- Helping the team on the floor with crowd control, bag search or in difficult situations with visitors
This role is 42 hours per week from Monday to Sunday on day shifts. The exact rota is yet to be confirmed.
Starting date – As soon as possible
End date – Wednesday 31st January 2024.
How you’ll dazzle us
The ideal candidate will have a valid Door Supervisor SIA License, along with work experience in a museum (or busy tourism, cultural or commercial environment), experience in admin, and in managing a team of 15+. You should also have a GCSE (or equivalent) qualification in English.
It is essential that you are able to undertake a physically demanding role involving significant amounts of walking and standing up for long periods of time.
