A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer who will work in the West Midlands. You will need to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
We are seeking highly experienced, customer-focused individuals who will be able to provide a safe environment for clientèle and have high levels of diligence.
INFORMATION:
- Position: Security Response Officer
- Location: West Midlands (Birmingham Area)
- Pay Rate: Site Related Pay (£9.50 to £10.82)
- Hours: Average 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Various Shifts - Days & Nights
Job Role / Requirements:
- SIA Licence required
- Security and customer service experience is required
- Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needs
- Must have good command of English language
- Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all times
- Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
- Maintains working knowledge of the locations & security & safety for assigned areas
- Flexible in the approach to daily duties –, retail, long periods of standing, patrolling, reception duties, access control, and lock ups
- First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus
- Must have five years of checkable work history
About You:
- Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
- Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
- Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
- Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
- Confident in writing incident and shift reports
- To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
- To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service at all times ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
- Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems (Lots of sites use different Systems)
- Have the ability to write emails and reply to emails in the correct manner and speak, very important in Corporate Industry.
- Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels.
- Able to understand Escalation Process, - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site.
- The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures.
- To have a smart appearance befitting the company
- Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties
- Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested
