Job description
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for supervising the security team’s operational performance and related activities of a specific site. The Security Operations Manager will work with the Regional Account Manager and local management to develop service and quality innovations that enhance business interests.
The Security Operations Manager will monitor and document the quality of security services delivered utilising the Services Scorecard process, meeting with local site management and key strategic partners to obtain their observations and comments regarding service quality.
Main Duties
- Responsible for the day to day operational delivery of services, assuring that HS&E and excellence is at the forefront of delivery.
- Lead the Security Team ensuring they are suitably developed, trained, rehearsed, briefed, ready and available to carry out their roles and responsibilities at all times
- Ensure that all required security tasks are carried out by the contract guard force, in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure available assets are used to best effect at all times to maximise security provided on site.
- Ensure that all incidents are recorded, investigated and reported upon in line with company and statutory reporting requirements
- Ensure that all required workforce administration is undertaken and completed in line with requirements
- Attend the weekly operational and monthly contract review meetings with the Management team
- Production of Reports & Returns summarising key activities
- Lead the Operational cell if and when an incident occurs to coordinate on-ground security responses
- Act as an exemplar of company values at all times; lead the team to deliver superlative customer service.
- Seek to enhance service delivery and develop opportunities to add value to the contract
- Act as an exemplar of the safety culture to all G4S staff, ensuring the security team’s understanding and compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety procedures and PPE
Key responsibilities
- Quality assure implementation of the risk assessment mitigation recommendations and advice for the physical and operational security measures into the site processes and security overlays
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders and external local security delivery partners to ensure a seamless operation in execution of roles and responsibilities on the account
- Implement security policies and procedures and advise stakeholders in their application to site security overlay and operations

- SIA licence, CRB check (BS7858)
- Must have good working knowledge of the security industry.
- Experienced in translating security requirements into efficient security operations
