Here's a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Security Operations Manager to join the friendly team at First Response Group for a high-profile district based in central London. The successful candidate will be required to manage the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring exceptional security service for our client whilst fostering an environment of inclusion and happiness for the team.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience within the security industry in an Operations Manager or Contract Manager role.

Key responsibilities of the Security Operations Manager include:

  • Building, improving, and maintaining relationships with the client, its employees, and stakeholders.
  • Providing total operational support focused on maximising customer satisfaction levels.
  • Taking responsibility and initiative in the smooth-running of all business operations.
  • Managing projects and the implementation of client strategies and requirements.
  • Providing full support and staffing to events based in the District.
  • Providing outstanding leadership to team members, including the management of the training and development matrix.
  • Carrying out any necessary recruitment, and ensuring the development and retention of staff.
  • Managing the financial and legal requirements of the contract with the support of the Account Director.
  • Providing effective team and project management duties, including overseeing project completion timelines, monitoring project costs, and ensuring the client's needs are fulfilled.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure operations budgets are maintained.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with any third parties to ensure smooth procurement and delivery of products and services.
  • Developing relationships with the wider community outside of the District, building strong stable links to enhance the protective security effect.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, company, and contractual obligations, such as GDPR, Health and Safety at Work Act, etc.
  • Supporting First Response Groups' vision, culture, and core values through leadership, mentoring, and coaching.


We welcome applications for this Security Operations Manager role from candidates with an SIA Door Supervisor licence, CCTV Operator licence, and skills or experience as an Event Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Contract Manager or Account Manager.

Additional Information

This Security Operations Manager role is a full-time position with variable hours to suit the demands of the role which includes days, nights, and weekends.

Expected start date – September 2023

  • Must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Must have a valid CCTV Operator Licence
  • Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history screenable to BS7858
