Job descriptionWe are seeking Security Officers for a modern student accommodation in Edinburgh city centre. The available shifts are Nights and Weekends. Full time, Permanent.The successful candidate will have a valid front line SIA licence, a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills and will maintain a safe and secure environment for our client by patrolling and monitoring the site.Pay rate: £10.62 per hour.The Security Officer role would suit those with excellent interpersonal skills and who wish to develop skills in security, gatekeeping, and as a Security Officer. Must be able to commute to locations in city centre.Roles and Responsibilities:Maintaining a safe and secure environment & ensure safe access to the building at all times.Carrying out patrols/hazard reporting etc as requested.Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.Completing all necessary reports in line with company documentation.Access / Egress control.Monitoring of alarms & CCTV system.Key Holding responsibilities.Controlling and monitoring access to the carparks.General refuse management & ensuring overall tidiness on site.Provide a high standard of customer service.Be polite, helpful, and diligent, with a ‘can do’ ethos.Have a calm personality capable of controlling difficult situations.General cleaning and upkeep of site.Candidate Requirements:Valid frontline SIA Licence.Must be able to commute to locations in city centre.Good verbal and written communication.Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.Excellent attention to detail.Reliability.Benefits:SIA upskilling and licence renewals.Paid holiday allowance of an average of 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.Referral Scheme - earn £100 voucher for every successful referral.Full welfare onsite.Statutory Pension Scheme.Full Uniform Provided.FIRST RESPONSE GROUP LTD ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYERAbout FRGFirst Response Group (FRG) is an award winning security, risk and facilities management services provider, delivering first class solutions to our clients across the UK.What makes us different is our people.
