Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Street Safety Officer with fantastic customer service skills to join our teams in Central London.

Working outdoors, a Street Safety Officer provides a warm welcome and re-assurance to the public visiting key destinations across the Capital, ensure the safety and security of people, premises and property.

We guarantee a minimum of 40 hours work per week. Shifts run from early morning (6.30am) until late evening (11.30pm) on a roster system, including some weekend working. The post-holder will be part of a dedicated team delivering exceptional street based services in a high profile location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide visible, proactive street based patrols
  • A first class welcome to visitors to the area
  • Provide reassurance to visitors, residents and businesses in the area
  • Deal with and deter low-level anti-social behaviour in the area
  • Engage with the local businesses providing regular welfare checks
  • Engage with local street population providing assistance when necessary
  • Engage and support local police, council and outreach services
  • Maintain an accurate record of any incidents that occur via PDA

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Smart, well-groomed and confident
  • Exceptionally clear communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable with excellent time-management skills
  • A commitment to providing five-star customer service is essential
  • Good report writing skills
  • Conflict management skills
  • Can apply sound judgement and effective decision-making
  • Able to adapt to changing situations
  • Able to work a variable shift pattern
  • Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education
  • Valid SIA licence
