About The Role
Security Officer - (Shift Officer)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for an experienced Security Officer who will work at our client’s prestigious premises.
You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.
We require Officers to be SIA licenced – Security Guarding/Door Supervision
Duties as a Security Officer
- Restrict and control access to the establishment and operational buildings by enforcing the correct access protocols
- Validate visitor identification and to be responsible for the allocation and receipt of keys and passes
- Process and issue client/visitor/contractors with biometric and non-biometric passes in accordance with site protocols
- Monitor security and fire systems and to investigate and respond to alarm activations/calls for assistance
- Regularly and frequently patrol the site.
- Identify hazards, potential hazards and other issues relating to security/health & safety, taking immediate remedial action if required before reporting accordingly
- Secure & unlock buildings as directed
- Accept and maintain an approved qualification as first aider & Fire Marshal
Job role requirements as a Security Officer
- Hold a current frontline SIA Licence
- Have had previous experience in the security industry.
- Be able to handle weight, equipment, people, and patrol effectively by foot and bicycle
- Have a calm personality and be capable of controlling difficult situations
- Be able to work independently, but also as a member of a team
