Job description
- Utilise accounting software to process invoices and payments efficiently.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, creating new accounts, and setting up direct debits.
- Manage the invoicing process through our Patient Management System (e-clinic) to facilitate seamless billing between insurers and patients.
- Act as the primary liaison between insurance companies and patients to reduce and recover overdue payments, ensuring effective management of aged debt.
- Ensure all existing clinics are registered with our key health insurance providers, guaranteeing continuous coverage without any interruptions.
- Register new clinics with insurance providers promptly, enabling clinics to be eligible for insurance coverage from their opening date.
- Provide dedicated support to new consultants during the insurance company registration process, ensuring completion before the end of their induction.
- Offer guidance to Patient Advisors on insurance billing processes, empowering them to assist patients effectively with their inquiries.
- Record any discrepancies to assist the accountants in reconciling inaccuracies and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Maintain the contracts and insurance register, ensuring all necessary documentation is up to date and organised.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, insurance companies, and internal teams.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and insurance billing processes is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to take on ad hoc projects to support the finance department and the wider business
