We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer/Concierge to join our Security team. This role is a based in our main Hospital site in Central London (W1G 6BW). We are also offering a competitive salary of £31,611 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile

The Security Officer/Concierge is responsible for ensuring that patients, visitors and staff are given advice and provided with a safe and secure environment in line with legislation and particularly in emergency situations. This will include communicating with emergency services, protecting people and property, detecting and preventing crime including operating and controlling access control, CCTV and key control systems.

The will also be welcoming, meeting and greeting visitors and patients on entry to the London Clinic and ensure all property is secured, conducting random and continuous patrols to engage with staff, proving a presence and prevent any persons the opportunity to do us harm.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 45 hours per week.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

Key Duties

  • Ensure the safety and security of all persons and properties at The London Clinic, and to promote a safe environment and reduce the fear of crime by providing a high-profile visible presence.
  • Take on the role as a Fire Marshal to ensure fire safety checks are undertaken on a weekly basis or in the event of any evacuations.
  • To monitor all alarms and CCTV systems, ensuring all equipment is operational and that faults are reported immediately.
  • To investigate security incidents/breaches in a fair, objective and professional manner so that the appropriate sanctions are taken and consideration of preventive action takes place.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in high-end security role with good customer service skills, ideally in a hospital or hospitality environment.
  • A valid SIA security license is desirable.
  • Strong relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders, up to and including at a senior level.
