Objective
To work as a Security Officer/Commissionaire, providing a high level of customer service at GPA and surrounding client properties. Act as the first point of contact for visitors, Contractors, Arcade Staff to the property. To liaise with the client and Arcade tenants/patrons on any issues both proactively and reactively. Managing all client contractors and 3rd party providers working on site. Ensuring the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment for all.
General Duties
- The maintenance of good order on a Unitrust Client site including the protection staff and patrons
- The protection of a client’s property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste
- The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft, and damage
- Access Control into the Arcade and regular patrolling both internally and externally
- To be a liaison for all Arcade Tenants and patrons
- Monitor, escalate and respond to alarms as required via CCTV, Security & BMS systems
- Provide support and response for the APML Estates campus including the Cromwell
- Road sites on a ad-hoc basis only
- Respond to Fire alarms activations and related emergencies within the Arcade
- First responder to Intruders and other crime-related incidents
- Help desk function - Out of hours (18:00 – 23:30) respond and escalate accordingly, any calls from tenants and retailers from the client’s other properties including completing all necessary callout reports where required before shift end
- Providing in all cases, assistance in accordance with instructions and training as detailed in the AI’s & SOP’s
- To comply with applicable environmental, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices. You will have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work
Carrying out in a professional and diligent manner all other duties properly
assignable to the position of Security Officer
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 3/5 years of demonstrable experience in the Security industry (Essential).
- Excellent client facing skills and proven experience (Essential).
- A valid SIA front-line licence (Essential)
CCTV/PSS licence – Desirable but not essential
- An industry recognised qualification (Highly desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Excellent knowledge of operational security software applications or the ability to acquire such knowledge
- Able to deal in a professional manner in all stressful situations
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately
- Be able to develop a thorough knowledge of the Company’s core business functions
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work underpressure and unsupervised
- Demonstrable proactive and professional approach to security
- Professional and well groomed Development
- Develop local liaison with the Police and the local community
- To be forwaforward-thinkingbe a part of idea generation and innovations
- Develop the security knowledge and ethos of site within your team and establish security excellence
- Continues development of the site knowledge
- Identify areas of improvement and best practises
