Education Security Officer
Permanent, Part Time 35 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+2 weeks per year
Working hours for this role will be: Monday – Thursday 9.00 – 4.45 with a half an hour lunch break & Friday 9.00 – 2.30 with a half an hour lunch break
Salary: £17,275 per annum (Full time equivalent £21,022.54 per annum) (Spot salary)

About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient and professional service demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism, customer service and integrity. Responsibilities will include: greeting students onto campus and ensuring that they follow college processes, ensure staff, students and visitors are in a safe environment by de-escalating situations, regular tours of the campus internally and externally to monitor and encourage students, staff and visitors in wearing of lanyards, smoking is designated spaces and behaving respectfully to each other and college facilities.
About you
You will need to hold a SIA Licence and have recent experience in a similar role where you have interacted with young people and vulnerable adults. An ability to work calmly under pressure and a good understanding of safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion are essential.
