Security Officer
Salary up to £29,154* (Dependent On Experience)
- (includes weighting allowance of £4,439 per annum, an unsociable hours allowance added to your fixed salary to take into account your rota pattern)
This role will be based on the university campus with the need to be able to drive an automatic car to attend off campus locations.

As the role is very customer focused, you will need to be able to support both students and staff - adapting your communication style to the situation.
Duties will include:
Providing a visible presence, including foot and vehicle patrols on campus and other University of Leeds assets, buildings and properties ensuring the security and safety of all University personnel, students, visitors and infrastructure;
- Attending and reporting incidents (student welfare, reports of crime, fire/intruder/panic alarm activations, out-of-hours maintenance issues) liaising with the relevant services and maintaining and compiling accurate records
- Control room monitoring of alarm and CCTV systems, dealing with general enquiries, emergency calls and face to face customers’ enquiries.
Working hours will be on a rotating shift basis with the service operating 24/7/365 days a year. You will work a set rota pattern of days and nights.
