Role:
Working within this flagship building and prestigious environment in the City of London your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout.
You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be/become well versed in the processes and practices of a Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.
To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a 'one team' approach to successfully deliver an excellent customer journey so in this role you will work closely with catering, cleaning, maintenance, and Front of House teams in order to provide an environment which is welcoming and relaxed yet safe and secure at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
- Take an active interest in, and give a commitment to the client and tenants
- Ensure that the environment and service are truly excellent and beyond expectation
- Promote the client, tenants other service providers positively to all you come in contact with, throughout the customer journey
- Be flexible ad adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face-to-face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
- Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount
- Be familiar with all Security ad Emergency procedures on-site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicable all training will be provided
- All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manuals or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood, and followed
Security-Specific Responsibilities:
- Welcome ad assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey
- Ensuring that no unauthorized persons are permitted in prohibited areas
- Check the identity and credentials of staff, contractors, and visitors where required
- Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site
- Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises, or property, escalating where appropriate to do so
- Rotation on different posts
- Complete building patrols
- Have outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and are able to assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors with their queries
- Direct all deliveries as required (to the Loading Bay)
- Respond to alarms
- Key Control
Building Culture:
- Actively promote the building and support with onsite viewings where required.
- Monitor and report on feedback received through engaging with occupiers.
- Actively engage with tenants, seek feedback, and support their operations.
- Drive collaboration within all service providers (Reception, cleaning, and maintenance).
- Your approach at all times must be positive, caring, enthusiastic, and engaging, always aspiring to be the best at what we do at 20 Gracechurch.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with each tenant.
- Oversee ad undertake other activities as required to enhance the corporate social responsibility efforts of 20 Gracechurch Street.
- Engage constructively with service managers making sure that the service delivery across the building is to a high standard.
- Regularly engage with Reception Team to ensure a collaborative approach to the service, and share ideas, training, and strategy for service delivery on site.

- Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours, and responsibilities.
- A current and valid SIA license
