The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is recognised as a world leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative economies. You will be a member of the team responsible for providing 24-hour security for our buildings. As well as carrying out routine patrols of the buildings, grounds and monitoring unauthorised parking, you will also carry out reception duties during the day and act as a first aider in the workplace (training can be provided).
As you will be our first point of contact for our visitors you will need to be able to create a good first impression, have good interpersonal skills, tact and when necessary, firmness in dealing with a variety of situations.
Experience of this kind of work will be advantageous as would SIA certification. An ability to be flexible, work 12-hour shift patterns (including nights and weekends) is essential, as is computer literacy.
You will need to be able to obtain satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure for this position.
