You won’t be sat behind a desk, our SIA licensed uniformed security officers deal with physical security, searching guests, patrols, asset protection, first aid response and emergency situations, whilst our eagle-eyed profilers scour the area for criminality.
What you need
- A sound level of security experience
- A valid SIA Door Supervisors Licence and to have held such a licence for a minimum of 2 years
- Excellent customer service skills and able to remain calm under pressure
- Effective interpersonal skills, being approachable with a helpful manner
- Able to react quickly in complicated situations
- Effective functional English skills
- Due to the nature of the role, we require candidates to be aged 18 or over
The role of Uniformed Security Officer provides an excellent level of service in ensuring the safety of our attractions, staff, and guests. Reporting into the Security Manager, you’ll help maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests, colleagues, and contractors. You'll provide a mix of security and customer service duties. Greeting and searching guests as they wait to begin their experience and building a security presence, whether that's staffing a static position or patrolling public areas in and around our attractions. Most of the day, however, will be working outside amongst our visitors, in all weathers.
In and around our attractions, you will be assigned to various locations to maintain a security presence and be on hand to collaborate closely with your team as well as guests. Providing a calm and timely response to fire and other emergency situations is key. You'll also be responsible for asset protection, first aid response and emergency situations.
You may find that you are dealing with various types of security-related incidents including the apprehension and detention of offenders, controlling physical security situations, and carrying out general duties in line with security procedures.
This is a permanent hourly paid role. Shifts are days only over a two-week rolling roster of average 42 hours per week. Every other weekend off.
