Main Responsibilities
- Provide a 24/7 service operating a 4-on, 4-off 12 hour day/night shift pattern, ensuring the security of staff, guests and property.
- Operate from the Venue Control Room and carry out Patrol and other duties as assigned
- Monitor the CCTV System in compliance with the venue CCTV policies and procedures, including preparing evidence for Police use.
- Ensure all building systems including, but not limited to, fire system, Access Control system and in-house radio, are fully functional and maintained.
- Operate and maintain Security Arches and X-ray equipment for searching and screening of staff and visitors.
- Assist the Venue Security Manager with the development all venue security / emergency / evacuation / business continuity plans and procedures.
- To manage access control systems for staff, tenants, visitors, contractors and Production staff.
- Support the Venue Security Manager and HSE Advisor on all aspects of Venue Security and Safety.
- To conduct internal and external security patrols
- Work with the Venue Security Manager and Event Manager during events should an emergency situation arise.
- Liaise with emergency services as and when required.
- Record accidents and incidents when reported on site using the in-house reporting system.
- Advise the Venue Security Manager of any external site issues.
- Responsible for the receipt of goods and deliveries, ensuring that correct paperwork is obtained, and the relevant departments and individuals are informed, whilst remaining vigilant in case of a suspect package.
- Responsible for the secure issue and receipt of Venue Keys and Personal Radios
- Provide fire warden capability as required.
- Undertake any further training as directed.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Current SIA Door Supervisors Licence
- Current SIA CCTV Licence (preferred)
- First Aid at Work Qualification (as a minimum)
- Awareness of Counter Terrorism issues
- Have undertaken ACT or Project Griffin training programmes
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Have undertaken Fire Awareness Training
- Must have excellent customer care skills
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and the confidence/ability to deal with difficult situations
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal
- Experience working in the event industry (preferred)
- Experience in Event Stewarding or Venue Security (preferred)
- Crowd management experience (preferred
