Job description
Oundle School is seeking an experienced Security Officer to patrol and secure its estate and buildings.
the Role
Working within School Services team, the role holder will report to the Security Co-ordinator. The role holder is not responsible for any staff, but does work with external contractors. The role is to provide a high level of visible and procedural security that ensures the protection of our pupils, staff, parents, visitors and the School estate including grounds, buildings and property. The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling the School site and associated areas as well as undertaking the nightly lock up of all buildings.
Working on a rota system alongside another colleague, shifts are 2:30pm to 11:30pm Monday to Friday, and 1.30pm – 11.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
THE SCHOOL
Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding. The town has a spirited cultural life, with an annual international festival, literature festival, and frequent performances of nationally touring shows at the School’s Stahl Theatre.
