We are looking for a reliable and experienced Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling our premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to any security-related incidents. This position requires excellent observational skills, the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will also have experience in dealing with the public and be able to handle any difficult situations that may arise.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-40 per week
Salary: £11.00-£14.00 per hour
