Summary
Opportunites have arisen for a Security Officerto join the Security team. Duties will include to maintain the security and integrity of the Cranswick Convenience Foods and Sutton Fields sites at all times. To ensure that all vehicles and personnel entering and leaving the site are properly monitored and accounted for. Not to allow any dubious person or persons on site without reference to a senior manager first
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Monitoring movement of staff and staff vehicles on and off the sites
- Control and use of CCTV
- Registration and control of deliveries
- Registration and direction of visitors, contractors and auditors
- Conducting site patrols reporting risk and injuries
- Operating “Stop & Search” procedures
- Answering and recording external telephone calls out of hours
- Assisting in the enforcement of Company policies and procedures
- Accurate reporting of incidents, ensure all incidents are logged and passed on to the senior team
- Maintaining good communication with various personnel and departments to ensure people and goods are dealt with as efficiently as possible
- Maintain a constant vigilance in aiming to keep theft from the site and trespass onto the site to zero
- On request of suspicion and overall health & safety, alcohol tested is to be conducted
- Assist with emergency evacuation, following H&S procedures
- Assist in recording Carbon Monoxide (CO2) and the escalation process
- To monitor site areas for spillages, overflowing drains, pests and general environmental conditions in line with Group, Second Nature and site permit procedures
- Security represent the company and are the first point of contact, it is imperative to be polite, well-spoken and professional at all times and to maintain a professional clean appearance as site integrity is our priority
- Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP). Champion this within the department and the wider site
Requirements, experience and person specification (bullet points)
- Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting
- H&S Awareness Level 2, desirable
- SIA desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively and politely
- Competence in maintaining records
- Ability to work unsupervised and within specified parameters
· Maintain a smart and tidy disposition and environment
· Subject to DBS check
