Job description
The Security Manager UHBW has the responsibility alongside the Head of Security UHBW to develop and maintain a safe and secure environment to allow the provision of world-class healthcare. The aim is to provide a comprehensive, inclusive and professional security management service for the Trust and work towards the creation of a pro-security culture within the NHS in-line with Secretary of State Directions on security management and the protection of NHS staff from violence and aggression.
Working as part of the Management Team this role will support the Head of Security UHBW, leading and setting the strategic direction for, and managing, the security requirements within the Estates and Facilities Division and the wider Trust. This is essential to ensure the Trust provides a safe and secure environment for the provision of world-class healthcare. The post holder will assist provide assurance to the Trust Board that all the security, CCTV, Access control, ID production and FM Salto fob systems are managed effectively and efficiently including management of the in-house security team and overseeing in conjunction with the Head of Security the management of any outsourced security contracts. To have delegated budgetary responsibility and control for security budgets at both Bristol and Weston sites.
The post holder will support writing reports for presentation at the Division’s Risk and Health and Safety meeting and divisional board as well as providing security and risk management assurance to other Trust forums, groups and committees. The post holder will be expected to undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time to support the division.
