Are you an HR Coordinator looking to join a friendly and collaborative engineering company in Portsmouth?
If so, we are looking a HR & Security Coordinator to join our ambitious team at TPG Maritime Ltd in Portsmouth. As our HR & Security Coordinator, you will actively support the business by providing a comprehensive effective and professional HR and security service.
At TPG Maritime, we specialise in the design and manufacture of atmospheric control systems for the defence industry and are part of the wider Science Group, an international science, engineering and technology (“SET”) business listed on AIM stock market.
Your role as HR & Security Coordinator:
HR activities:
- Accurate administration and maintenance of employee records
- Update HR Information System and ensure all content relevant
- Recruitment administration
- Absence and attendance administration.
- Benefits updates and administration
- Training administration including course booking and evaluations
- Updating H&S Skills matrix
- Preparation of KPI’s
- Preparation of company newsletter
- Inolvement in company well being initiatives
- Ensure all HR data is handled and processed in compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Be an active member of the Group HR Team contributing to the delivery of group initiatives
Payroll activities:
- Accurate preparation and input of the monthly payroll to outsourced provider
Security Activities
- BPSS clearing new starters and liaising with vetting team ref SC and DV clearances
- Staff security inductions and administer employee and contractor entry passes
- Asset management (secure room) including monthly muster, control of assets, receiving, transporting, destruction
- Manage IVCO requests for foreign visits
- Deliver travel briefs for those traveling in line with current security guidance and clearance levels
- Liaising with the Quality Team and ensuring correct updated security policy and supporting documentation is within the Business Management System
- Reporting of security incidents to CISO and assisting with investigations
- Liaising with IT ref access control on networks
- Management of the RLI asset
- Ensuring staff report changes in personal circumstances
- Flow down of local security training and being available when it’s rolled out
- Assisting the supply chain department with ITAR issues onsite
- Flow down and management of security aspects letters
- Assisting with List X and IPSA audits
- Assisting with customer audits for example BAE
About You
To deliver this role you will be required to have the following:
- Experience within a generalist HR / payroll and or Security function
- Excellent administrative skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with a diverse client group and produce succinct correspondence
- High level of attention to detail
- Pragmatic approach, good judgement and decision making abilities
- Confidential with high integrity
