Job description

We're one of the UK's leading investment management companies, with responsibility for over £44 billion of client assets. We've worked closely with clients and their trusted advisers for many years and gained a unique understanding of the specific needs of our clients.

Investec Wealth & Investment seeks to deliver exceptional levels of customer service and has been trusted to meet the needs of private investors for almost 200 years. But our eyes are focused on your future.

Right now we're a team of over 1400 dedicated professionals located across 14 sites in the UK. We're looking to strengthen our team and need you to come on board and make a difference.

Investec Wealth and Investment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IAM Analyst to join our dynamic Information Security team. As an IAM Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the application of controls, standards, and processes to mitigate security risks and safeguard our organization's critical assets. You will be responsible for provisioning logical access, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring the consistent and efficient delivery of IAM services.

What you will be doing

  • Perform lifecycle activities for Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML), file, and user permissions, maintaining a consistent and efficient delivery approach.
  • Prioritize and handle Service Requests and inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks and responses.
  • Remediate incidents and escalate to relevant teams when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and standards while completing all tasks and duties.
  • Maintain accurate audit trails to support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor service levels and provide reports to the Head of IAM.
  • Assist in information collection, preparation, and reviews to support audit, certification, and access remediation.
  • Produce comprehensive IAM documentation suitable for various stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate IAM services, standards, processes, and documentation to identify areas for improvement and drive the function's development.

What we are looking for

  • Broad knowledge of Information Security.
  • Significant experience working in an IAM operational function, preferably in a regulated environment such as the finance sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of IAM solutions, standards, and processes.
  • Excellent understanding of the IAM lifecycle, including request and approval, provisioning, certification, toxic combinations, and privileged access management.
  • Familiarity with concepts of role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, and permissions management.
  • Proficiency in systems commonly used in an IAM environment, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and ITIL systems and tools.
  • Strong understanding of risk responsibilities within IAM.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others and promote knowledge sharing within and across teams.

Desirable but not essential

  • Extensive experience in an Identity & Access Management or related role, including contributions to IAM operations, certification, and internal/external audit support.
  • Motivated by Identity & Access Management challenges.
  • Proactive, analytical, and open to challenges.
