Job description
As a Security Manager at G4S you would be part of a dedicated team responsible for managing a number of security personnel delivering professional services to a prestigious Head Office Site whilst maintaining the core values of G4S.
You would be supporting the development, operations and profitability of your assigned area by ensuring the best possible business performance, contract compliance and delivery.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the position holder is responsible for the operational management and delivery of Security Services for their site of responsibility, ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to in line with the relevant contract documentation. The job holder will need to have experience in managing a very busy FOH team along with a control room and security officers and demanding clients.
This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Managing your area of responsibility, including providing support, absence management, discipline and grievance, and recruitment activities
- Effectively setting out goals and objectives for your team, including those for supervisory roles that may fall under your reporting line and structure
- Acting as a role model and always behaving in line with our company values
- Driving employee engagement by personal interaction and engagement with your team in order to develop and coach them in their duties and responsibilities
- Managing contractual budgets in line with financial targets
- Ensuring all aspects of the required services are being delivered to the customers’ satisfaction and in accordance with the contract
- Ensuring there are sufficient trained, licensed, and vetted staff working at all times to meet customer and contract requirements
- Ensuring contract-required training and screening/vetting has been completed for all security staff
- Developing professional customer relationships, responding appropriately to customer requests and concerns
- Completing effective health & safety assessments, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of any incidents, involvement in subsequent investigations and providing input into health & safety committees or forums.
- Completing risk assessments and site evaluations as well as completing monthly performance reports and billing schedules
About you
- Previous Management Experience and proven problem-solving skills, especially within a Head Office environment encompassing FOH, Control Room, and security officers.
- DS SIA and CCTV licenses
- Experience with multiple office technology and software applications including Microsoft Office
- Able to work on own initiative and influence senior internal and external contacts
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Confident, well presented with good attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work in demanding and busy environment
- Evidence of managing frequently changing diaries demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- 5 Year-checkable work history or evidence to support any period of unemployment, self-employment or time spent in full-time education during that period
- Right to work unrestricted in the UK/EU
