Job Description
Client Security Manager
Permanent, Full-Time
We’re a company of ambitious, collaborative, problem-solvers who get things done. We strive to make sure everyone that works for us feel seen, heard, and valued – so we’re looking for like-minded people to join us.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Insurance, Savings, Investments.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Security Manager to join our team of Information Security specialists. This is an entirely new role which will report to a Senior Information Manager and will have a dotted into the Client & Partnership teams.
The purpose of the role is to help Aegon’s client facing teams win and retain business by responding to ‘due diligence security requests’ from existing and prospective client in an accurate, efficient, and positive manner.
These requests include security audits, annual security health checks, RFPs, contract clause negotiations and governance committee presentations.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in security, including information security management, physical security, application security, network security and/or security incident management.
- Technical knowledge of the security impact on established and up and coming technologies.
- The ability to navigate and understand complex organisations.
- Understanding of the sales and distribution function and how Information Security relates to it.
- The ability to create documents and/or brochures to win bids and differentiate the security team.
It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:
- Good knowledge and understanding of Financial Services regulatory/compliance requirements in information security and data protection.
- Understanding of how to apply Information Security best practice to large scale enterprise environments.
- Experience working in information security management and/or related functions
What’s in it for you?
- A competitive salary from £60,320 - £80,000, depending on the experience you can bring.
- A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%
- A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
- 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We know our staff have busy lives and commitments outside work, so we work flexibly where possible and have a hybrid approach to office working (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home).
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
This is a big job. It’s a challenging job. It’s crucial to our future success. If you’re up for the challenge, hit the “Apply” button.
Closing date: Sunday 6th of August
The legal bits
We’ll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their age, disability, race, religion/belief, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity.
