UniTrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity available for a Security Lunch Break Officer to join our team. The role would involve you being trained on a number of sites across our London portfolio. In return, you will receive highly competitive hourly rates subject to the sites you will work across.

Client

Our Client is a leading commercial real estate services company, providing a full range of services to real estate customers, developers, and investors on a local, national, and international basis.

Role

The role is to provide, best in class security front of house lunch cover across several client buildings located in the some of the most desirable areas in London. You will have the unique opportunity to build experience and a collaborative environment whilst working across a number of mixed stakeholder sites.

As part of the lunch cover, you will play a lead role in ensuring each building is maintained to a standard expected by UniTrust and our client. You will responsible for;

  • To have total responsibility and ownership for the day to day running of the security and building operations on site when cover the lunch hour
  • To ensure all UniTrust and the Clients policies and procedures are always adhered to
  • Maintain the FOH service delivery by dealing with tenants/stakeholder queries in a timely manner
  • To ensure you provide excellent customer service and security to all visitors and staff.

You will be responsible for responding to and not limited to the following;

  • All fire alarms and related emergencies
  • Bomb alerts and all other types of related emergencies
  • All other types of incidents (e.g. floods, gas leaks, defective lifts etc.)
  • Intruders and other crime-related incidents
  • Providing in all cases, assistance in accordance with the site SOP’s (Standard Operation Procedures)
  • Access Control, reception duties and general security duties.

As part of the reception lunch cover, you will also be required to deliver across;

  • Carrying out in a professional and diligent manner all other duties properly assignable to the position of Security Lunch Break Officer

We are looking for;

  • Officers must have the Security Industry basic training qualification or equivalent experience
  • To comply with applicable environmental, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices. You will have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
  • Carry and be capable or using all security equipment necessary to efficiently perform the duties required of a professional security officer
  • A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by UniTrust
  • The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people including the client, the client’s staff and visitors, in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress
  • Self-confidence and an interest in self-development
  • An excellent level of physical fitness to enable the post holder may perform patrols and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively
  • Reliability, self-motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision.
  • The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.

  • Onsite training in line with the site requirement
  • Access to procedures and documents
  • Personal access card or fob to site

You should demonstrate;

  • A willingness to learn and forge team cohesion
  • Have a good command of literacy and communication skills
  • Possess a good telephone etiquette
  • Be computer literate and confident to use software designed to manage the reception responsibilities
