Overview:Hagleys Group is a training, career development and recruitment organisation. We are currently recruiting, on behalf of various security companies in the Birmingham area, for SIA licenced Security Officers to work in various locations such as shopping centres, hotels, site locations, events and more. The overall purpose of the role is to support operations by delivering site security and control to buildings, assets, employees and site visitors.Roles & Responsibilities (may include but is not limited to):Carrying out regular internal and external site patrolEnsuring the building, people and valuables are safe and secureMonitoring and analysing CCTV camera footageOperating and communicating using all forms of equipment provided (phones, intercoms, radio).Ensure all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures.To record / log all non-conformances and emergencies with the control room/site management.To deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies including fire and threat, ensuring other members of the security team are kept fully informed at all times.Intelligent understanding of human behavior's, monitor and surveillance of suspect individuals logging and reporting incidents in line with site / company polices.Maintaining vigilance and highlighting / managing site access by unauthorised persons.Providing assistance to third party contractors/ visitors ensuring all site procedures / policies are adhered too.Always maintaining strict Data protection (GDPR) standards, adhering to policies and procedures put in place in relation to monitoring, recording, extracting and sharing information.Requirements:SIA Licence (SG/DS/CP) (Essential)Previous experience in the security industry is preferred but not essentialRight to work in the UKDriving licence and own vehicle (desirable)Ability to pass DBS checkFurther training is provided along with interview prep, work experience and guaranteed interviews(Mandatory)Final interview is dependent on candidates successful completion of all mandatory training*Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsCustomer service skillsCapability to work unsupervised and take responsibilityAptitude to remain calm under pressureAbility to remain alert and aware of surroundings at all timesSmart appearanceIf you are looking for a fantastic opportunity to train, develop your skills and gain or get back into employment in the security industry, we would love to hear from you.
