Job description
An award-winning family business is looking for an experienced Head of IT to lead and execute their IT strategy. This role would suit a charismatic Head of IT used to promoting and enabling change.
In this busy role you and your team will be responsible for providing a wide range of technical support across 3 main locations, all within a 10-mile radius.
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities where technology can be implemented to improve efficiency and performance, be able to gain the buy in from a diverse Senior Management Team and deliver the IT strategy.
You will make sound business decisions in a complex and challenging environment and be comfortable presenting to stakeholders as well as technical teams.
To succeed in this position, you will focus on building on the existing/future IT strategy, be comfortable making key infrastructure decisions and have a strong understanding of service delivery & information security frameworks.
You will be responsible for:
· The maintenance of IT and communication systems and network infrastructure of all three businesses
· Maintaining and improving a robust cyber-security and protection framework
· Regular review of ICT usage guidelines across the group and their relation to GDPR
· Driving efficiency through the use of technology
· Strategic development, management and operating of the IT Systems
· Managing the relationships with external IT suppliers to deliver an effective and highly regarded service
· Manging the IT team and ensuring focus and prioritisation of responsibilities
