Job description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with security concepts in Google Cloud.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with identity/access management, network security, data protection, and cryptography.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, secure software development, application security, and pen testing.
- Knowledge of industry compliance and security standards such as NIST, CSA-CCM PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 1, and SOC 2.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions Google Cloud Security.
- Familiarity with securing Cloud native workloads including Kubernetes and containerization workloads.

As a Cloud Security Consultant , you will provide advice and guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform services in the areas of Cloud security strategy, implementation approach, and ongoing management of the security capabilities. You will provide best practices on overall security strategy and approach, secure foundational Cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, Cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise in Google Cloud computing security, compliance, and security best practices.
- Work with customers to design and develop Google Cloud security architectures and solutions to meet and exceed their security requirements.
- Be a trusted technical security advisor and resolve technical challenges for customers.
- Create and deliver security best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code and technical presentations, adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
- Travel 50% of the time to customer sites, events, etc.
