Emblem Security is looking for a full time Security Officer to join our team in London, Greater London.Position Summary:The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the residents and visitors, and for protecting the organization’s assets, personnel, and property. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of security, and will be comfortable working with diverse populations.Responsibilities:Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presenceMonitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the propertyRemove wrongdoers or trespassers from the areaSecure all exits, doors, windows, doors locks and barriers after end of operationsCheck surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful actsInvestigate people for suspicious activity or possessionsRespond to alarms by investigating (discovering) incidents; providing assistance; investigating causes; resolving problems; advising people; evacuating people; restoring order; restoring normal operations; preventing future occurrences; restoring property to normal condition; — assisting individuals with essential needs; assisting individuals with limited ability; providing assistance to individuals with disabilities; providing assistance to disabled individuals; providing supervision for individuals with disabilities; providing information; providing support for individuals with disabilities as necessary; completing tasks assigned by supervisor.Skills:Proven experience as a security officer or guardThorough knowledge of public safety and security procedures principles and best practicesExcellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures including security alarm systems, surveillance systems, automatic door locks, automatic door openers, access control systems, etc.Knowledge of basic security operations procedures and best practices (e.g., safety procedures#)Surveillance skills and detail orientationIntegrity and professionalism along with a great attitudeJob Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-timePart-time hours: 20 per weekSalary: £11.68-£14.64 per hourBenefits:FlexitimeSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftFlexitimeHolidaysMonday to FridayNight shiftOvertimeWeekend availabilitySupplemental pay types:Bonus schemePerformance bonusYearly bonusLicence/Certification:SIA (preferred)Work Location: In person
