Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security UK, the Cyber Security Architect - Lead sits across all Divisions and Lines of Business within Leonardo UK Ltd, and is responsible for technical Cyber Security advice and guidance for IT services and systems supporting all functions and teams across the business.
The role does not directly support deliverable systems or services but may be called upon to guide and direct internal teams as necessary. The Cyber Security Architect Lead role works alongside the IT function to ensure that security requirements and compliance is delivered in IT solutions and services ensuring robust security architecture and compliance in line with Leonardo’s Data Owners (HMG, MoD, NATO and US DoD), Risk Appetite, policy and guidance.

What you will do
Work closely with the ICT to articulate Cyber Security’s overall strategy and identify major cyber security challenges.
Define architectural aspects of Cyber Security.
Work with ICT service providers and internal ICT teams to ensure new and existing systems meet appropriate and agreed security requirements.
Provide advice and guidance on technical and architectural aspects of cyber security. at a corporate and business level.
Advise on external cyber security requirements.
Provide advice to procurement and commercial teams on supply chain security.
Represent LUK at customer and peer group meetings feeding output back to the ICT Security team.
Subject Matter Expert in Cyber Security
Act as the primary contact for providing expert technical security advice and guidance.
Promote Cyber Security in the business
Communicate security requirements to all relevant stakeholders
Inform the Head of Cyber Security of any risks or issues in relation to technical solutions and architectures.
Initiate, gain agreement for and manage security related projects.
Responsible for ensuring external cyber security requirements are implemented across LUK.

What we are looking for
Educated to degree level (BSc) on a relevant discipline (ideally an MSc)
Demonstrable knowledge of Cyber Security Architectural concepts and best-practices as applied to on premise and cloud based solutions.
Demonstrable knowledge of Cyber Security Architectural concepts and best-practices as applied to on premise and cloud based solutions.
Technical background across multiple IT/OT disciplines (e.g. networks, compute/virtualisation, storage, application, MS Windows/Linux, Azure/AWS clouds) and security domains, experience with cloud security standards in an agile context.
Experience with security standards, regulations and best-practice (e.g. ISO27001/2, NIST, CIS, CE+, NCSC, CPNI, JSP440, HMG SPF, etc.).
Recognised Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP / CEH / CISM / CASP
Clear understanding of business and functional strategy and how the job contributes.
Experience of drafting policy, guidance notes.
Conceptual understanding of relevant professional/ business processes.
Evidence of business acumen in order to take / influence best decisions for the business.
