HSBC Agency Securities Lending sits within Securities Services as part of the wider Markets and Securities Services (MSS) business.
Securities Services provide a range of services to a client base which includes sovereign wealth funds, major
The service range includes global custody, UK sub custody, trustee and depository services, investment administration, performance consultancy, securities lending, treasury and FX and corporate trust and loan agency.
Effective trading book management and allocation of Equity & Fixed Income inventory
Meet business performance targets including counterparty/market revenues, including:
- Revenue opportunity identification
- Implementation of trading strategies and ideas including inventory and collateral management
- Use of performance benchmarking tools to monitor progress.
Build and maintain Counterparty relationships through proactive engagement.
Work with HK/US trading desks to align strategy.
Demonstrate an understanding of:
- Securities Lending pricing methodologies
- Client profiles and their investment strategies
- Counterparty profiles and their activities (prime brokers, broker-dealers, repo/financing desks).
- Operational structure of Securities Lending Business and wider Custody & Ops Functions.
- Previous securities lending trading experience preferred (Equity and Fixed Income cross-asset coverage would be a bonus)
- Previous experience / strong understanding of pricing methodologies to identify revenue opportunities on corporate action trades will be well considered
- Understanding of cash collateral management and currency funding will be well considered
- Previous experience in a client-facing role and/or relationship management preferred but not crucial
