Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage a well-established addictions team in Hillingdon on an permanent basis .

We offer treatment pathways to help people to overcome drug and alcohol dependency and rebuild lives by providing arrange of high-quality bespoke treatment and recovery options.

We are looking for an experiencedSector Managerwho will oversee the CNWL contract, leading on delivery of KPI’s within a defined financial envelope and lead on clinical service delivery .

Working hours are 09:00m to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) with some need for flexibility.

The Band 8a Sector Manager have the overall responsibility for the operational, performance and financial management functions of the services in a sector. The sector manager will be responsible to ensure effective and efficient resource utilisation; the delivery of evidence-based Service User care and that services are safe for people who use them, their families, friends and carers.

The Sector Manager will have an oversight of clinical service provision including leadership of non-medical prescribing as such the role is suitable for an experience nurse with an NMP (V300) qualification.

The Band 8a Sector manager is expected to lead in the management of teams and ensure the performance and quality of the services we provide by:

  • keeping the people who use our services as safe and they are of high quality by monitoring and maintaining quality standards.
We believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working well together and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care. The Band 8a Sector Manager is responsible for ensuring that the sector works effectively by being an effective leader to ensure that all staff are working to the standards which the people using our services deserve.

The Band 8 Sector Manager is responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and reliable services by:
  • Ensuring that there are risk assessment processes and that staff are adhering to these, to keep the people using our services as safe as possible.
  • Ensuring that there are systems in place for Safeguarding people and that staff are supported in recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse and are able to escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Addressing safety concerns and by doing so acting as effective advocates for those who use our services.
  • Supervising systems are in places.
  • Ensure that the team has mechanisms in place for reflecting on everyday practice to identify areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made.
  • Working with others to create a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensure that the services maintain compliance with their mandatory training requirements.
