Job description
We require an individual to join our team of Ward Clerks within the Emergency Care Directorate, providing efficient and effective support to our busy Wards and Departments. This involves cross-site cover at Queen Margaret Hospital, working within a busy reception area, alongside dealing with a large volume of telephone calls received and moving and handling and electronic tracking of patient casenotes on a daily basis. You will also be required to update activity within our electronic Patient Administration System appropriately, whilst providing administrative and clerical support to the Senior Charge Nurse(s) and team(s) with general clerical duties relating to day-to-day Ward / Department administration.
Relevant admin / clerical and reception experience is required, as is the ability to prioritise and deal with the day-to-day workload in a busy Health Service environment. A level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively is required.
