Derby Cathedral School are currently looking to appoint additional Secondary Teaching Assistants to work as part of our growing SEND Team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for supporting students with additional needs in both Key Stage 3 and 4, including helping plan lessons that contain accessible opportunities for learning at all ability levels.
Within this role you will utilise your knowledge of learning support, communication skills and creativity to develop a varied approach helping pupils with SEND understand the information presented and supporting them throughout their education.
You will need to use your passion for inspiring children to enjoy learning, encouraging them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in their abilities and play an active role in school life. Using a mix of resources to assist you broaden a pupil’s understanding and develop innovative ways to provide a supportive learning environment, where pupils can expand their knowledge.

Derby Cathedral School had a successful start and were graded "good" by Ofsted in all areas in 2023. We are the first ever Church of England Secondary school in the Diocese and after being in our temporary school for the first three years, moved to our new state-of-the-art building in September 2021.
