Job description
Are you a Psychology graduate with an interest in developing your experience in working with students with additional needs? Do you have relevant experience or an interest in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs or PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)?
Are you hoping to go on to become an Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist or work in Clinical Psychology?
I am currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants on a full-time, long-term basis for a January start.
Based in Sheffield, the “good” Oftsed rated school caters to children with ASC and Communication and Interaction difficulties. The setting works hard to ensure that all staff are committed to enabling students to fulfil their potential both academically, socially, and emotionally. It is important for them to create a safe, accepting, and nurturing environment while providing the best chances possible for their students.
Being adaptable in this role is key to being successful. You will be focused on following the ethos and aims of the school, while being a friendly face for students to go to in times of need. You must be open to going the extra mile to ensure students are given the best education possible.
A qualification in Team Teach is essential and can be provided should you have not completed the training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
