Job description
About Sunseeker International
Sunseeker founders dreamt of building a new kind of yacht. Breaking boundaries in early design, we’ve revolutionised the motor yacht industry since our conception in 1967. We've always set our sights on the top of the ladder, using our passion and drive to trailblaze with innovation and energy.
Technical and design excellence is fundamental to the very fabric of being a leading yacht manufacturer. Company record-breaking new product development investments will double the Sunseeker range to 22 models by the end of 2023.
Expert hands and extraordinary attention to detail. Passed from generation to generation, these are the most valuable skills required to make a Sunseeker.
In an era of digital production and automated assembly, we stay committed to creating hand-built, hand-finished boats. With a workforce of c.2000 Team Members, the hustle and bustle of our Shipyards and workforce creates a place like no other. With long serving employees and over 150 apprentices in training, our Sunseeker family gives a true reflection of our local community.
Are you a Sunseeker Carpenter?
We are seeking skilled Carpenters to join the Sunseeker family in Poole, Dorset.
All of our Carpenters will gain experience across the numerous boat lines of our extensive product range, completing bespoke carpentry work packages within small teams throughout our luxury cabins, modern kitchens and spacious bathrooms whilst working with a wide variety of materials and high quality wood finishes. With unrivalled levels of customer variation across every product, a Sunseeker Carpenter will get to experience it all and gain their own story to tell.
As a Second Fix/Skilled Carpenter, you will hold previous, relevant experience in a carpentry and joinery background, specifically in kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom fittings. You'll be comfortable working independently to achieve a high quality end result, meaning it is likely that you'll be allocated to our 'Fit Out' teams - where our products are given their final luxury touches. Quality is at the core of everything that we do, especially for our Carpenters who work to tolerances of 0.5mm.
You'll be based at Sunseeker Shipyards or Sunseeker Willis Way in Poole, Dorset. You'll have the opportunity to work at our largest sites within our award-winning workforce, truly becoming a part of the Sunseeker family.
