Seasonal Lead Instructor (May to August)
£11.50PH
40 Hours a week including evenings and weekends
Willowgate is located on the outskirts of Perth City Centre and is adjacent to the iconic river Tay and set in 20 acres of land. The centre operates with a large variety of groups including schools, community groups, corporates and individuals. The centre runs both land and water based activities including Stand Up Paddleboarding, guided kayak tours, archery, Axe throwing, bushcraft and much more.
We are looking for someone who has the passion and enthusiasm to help us deliver to our high standards and activities. Previous experience working with Additional Support Needs groups is desirable but not essential.
The role will be split into 2 specific sections:
Delivering activities and supporting the day to day running of the centre
Taking on the role of Duty Manager in the absence of the Management Team, coordinating the instructor team and completing open / close of the centre.
The Willowgate Activity Centre is part of the Tay and Earn Trust, a Scottish registered charity. The Trust promotes the regeneration of the inner Tay by creating development opportunities, improving access to the river and creating employment and volunteering opportunities.
Willowgate is not a residential centre and as such no accommodation is provided. As a result of this and the demands of the job, the successful candidate will be expected to live within a reasonable travel time from the Centre.
Essential Qualifications:
UKCC Level 1 / Paddlesport Instructor
Paddlesport Leader
16 Hour First Aid
Desirable:
Archery GB Instructor
British Canoeing Coach Award Holder
FUN MBL / Moutain Bike Leader Level 2 / Trail Cycle Leader
